凛冬将尽的山间村落，农事从不是轻松的活。对于上了年纪的塩尻太太而言，比体能衰退更拖着日子的，是逐日耗损的精神。塩尻太太与村里的长者相互关照，如守望那青春渺然、生机一息的稻田，以及相守一生，如今却一身病痛的丈夫。她得和时间一起注视着伴侣的衰亡、悼念村落的颓败，以及那片又将春去秋来的大地与万物的生死轮回。 导演双人组远赴京都山区拍摄，历时27周总拍摄日，琢磨出蕴含史诗质地的漫漫日常。取材自塩尻太太的私密日记，以五部著作为结构，八个小时让观众浸淫于日出夜临、虫鸣鸟叫之间，彷彿与47位村民共享静谧的日子，却巧妙安插加濑亮、本木雅弘两位演员融入其中，在真实与虚构间游移，构成一部横跨14个月的时光，与融合天地气宇的盛宴。。The story of the Korean War is told through powerful color imagery, dramatic musical score and sound-scape.
