少年桂武（王羽）奉师下山，办理三件事，一到蟠龙谷甘家学艺，二找寻姑母，三为父母报仇。他到甘家后与甘女（秦萍）结婚，发现了甘父与劫镖有关，带甘家女儿出走。桂武凭机智武功，逐一闯关……。著名小提琴演奏家陈枫为了完成父亲陈士晔的梦想，毅然辞去乐团的工作，来到乐器厂学习制作小提琴，并数度进入林区寻找“虎皮枫木”，直至在东北林区发现。“虎皮枫木”并非来自中国，而一直由欧洲进口，被称为“欧料”，是制作优质小提琴的木料材质。几个世纪以来，高档小提琴一直由西方制作生产。因此，在中国寻找“虎皮枫木”，就成为一些想制作中国高级乐器的琴师的梦想。。This is Alanis Obomsawin's most recent film documenting the Oka crisis (1990)in Quebec. Now a decade later Obomsawin takes the camera to the people of the Mohawk reserve of Kahnawake to recount their experiences and how its affected their lives.
