ざくざくろによる同名マンガを実写化する本作では、軽度の知的障害と自閉症を持つ上戸有紗と、彼女のアルバイト先の先輩である岡村龍二の恋が描かれる。身の回りのことをうまくこなせない、人間関係が苦手といった障害によるハンデを抱える有紗は、“普通”になれない苦しさに自分自身の価値を見失いかけていた。そんな彼女は、恋人となる龍二の優しさに触れることで、心境が少しずつ変化。そして、龍二も彼女を受け入れる過程で“普通であること”に応じてきた自身の劣等感に向き合っていく。。When a young woman's niece and nephew are threatened with foster care after her sister is hospitalized following yet another overdose, she flees with them until they land in the sleepy town of Bethlehem just before Christmas and a series of kindnesses and coincidences gives the trio a chance at happiness.。
