In the film two brothers go on opposite sides in a Turkish-Kurdish conflict| it opened at the number one position at the Turkish box office in 2009. The film was announced as the Turkish submission to the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film in September 2009.。陆风禾与顾行止多年夫妻原本恩爱，陆风禾松口让落难的青梅宋苒苒住进二人家中。顾行止口口声声只爱陆风禾，却借着爱的名义让宋冉冉怀孕，美其名曰给陆风禾一个孩子，极尽偏爱宋苒苒，用尽各种手段伤害陆风禾，最终宋苒苒害陆风禾流产。。
