The story is set in the 1930s, somewhere in the mountains in Romania. It centres on Simion, a ranger who lives like a hermit in the middle of the forest. One day, he stumbles upon a beaten-up woman, Irina, and tries to find out who has hurt her. He also tries to stay away from her but fails.。自古以来，天地人三界保持着平衡，但在一千年前，女魔趁道消魔长时欲练成地阴魔珠，打破人界均衡，中一真子挺身而出对抗女魔，在千钧一发时派出两名弟子容玉意（王祖贤 饰）和容小意（叶蕴仪 饰）寻找天阳神珠，以消灭女魔。中一真子殒身之际，容玉意跨越时空，来到了九十年代的香港。时值警队队长孟波（张学友 饰）缉拿匪徒，正巧被突降的容玉意意外协助，孟波对容玉意一见钟情，后者更大方入住孟波家中，自认走了桃花运的孟波干劲十足，然而其手下找来大师询问，得知容玉意跨越千年非妖非神的身份，孟波不愿放弃这份情缘。同时，女魔亦穿越时空，试图消灭容玉意和孟波……。
