昭和20年，太平洋战争刚刚落下帷幕。经历了惨烈战火的日本山河寥落，百废待兴。生活在最低层的人们凭借一双勤劳的双手艰难求生。废墟上的东京，小商贩们渐渐云集，靠着他们物美价廉的美食为贫穷的手工业者提供果腹之餐，而立食师的神话也就此拉开序幕。月见之银二（吉祥寺怪人 配音）最早登场，长发飘飘宛如仙人的老者在霸王餐界打出名堂。在此之后，狐炸肉饼之阿银（兵藤真子 饰）、汉堡之阿哲（川井宪次 饰）、牛肉盖浇饭之牛五郎（川井宪次 饰）等传奇立食师相继登场，为二战后的日本发展史做出了异样的注脚…… 本片由动画导演押井守根据自己2004年出版的同名小说改编。。Sixteen mustangs, four men, one dream: to ride border to border, Mexico to Canada, up the spine of the American West. The documentary tracks four fresh-out-of-college buddies as they take on wild mustangs to be their trusted mounts, and set out on the adventure of a lifetime.
