少年味吉洋一继承了亡父遗留下来的「日之出」食堂，他虽仍是个小孩, 但是他对烹饪有浓厚的兴趣，在机缘巧合下他认识了厨师协会的统帅，人称「味皇」的村田源二郎，更被味皇选中担任味皇料理某部门的主任,因此他不得不接受各人各项的美味比赛……。A group of rogues steal a scroll granting its bearer the property of the land of Aurocastro in Apulia (south of Italy). They elect a shaggy knight, Brancaleone from Norcia, as their leader, and decide to get possession of this supposedly wealthy land. Many adventures will occurr during the journey.。
