该剧讲述了飒爽的神外医生刘梓懿（辛芷蕾饰）在与男友准备结婚之际，发现男友因特殊原因被送到自己工作的医院，备受打击却要体面地结束这段关系；乐观的心外医生秦文彬（白客饰）看似玩世不恭，实则心里有数，工作上一帆风顺，婚姻却亮起红灯，不知何去何从。。本剧以消防局的通信指令中心为舞台，描绘了站在用一部电话维系生命的“最前线”的指令调度员们的“现实”。指令调度员们应对紧急通报，发出适当的救护车、消防车出动指令。他们是拥有各种技能的消防、急救专家集团，运用通信技能和医疗知识，为了挽救濒临危机的“生命”，每天倾听“声音”，用“声音”拯救“生命”。。Two paranormal investigators are unexpectedly thrown together in the hope of solving a 100 year mystery.
