《魔装机神》是Banpresto公司在其发行的游戏超级机器人大战中加入的原创作品，最初由WinkySoft公司开发，从第2次机器人大战开始加入游戏，其后在超级机器人大战系列游戏中频繁出场，并且最终和Banpresto公司的其他原创作品整合到超级机器人大战原创世纪。Banpresto公司也在超级任天堂上发售游戏“超级机器人大战外传-魔装机神”，于PS推出“真魔装机神”，并推出动画。在WinkySoft和Banpresto的合作终止后，魔装机神逐渐淡出游戏。WinkySoft于2000年发行其续作圣灵机ライブレード。 魔装机、魔装机神发源的世界名为拉?基亚斯(ラ?ギアス)，位于地球内部歪曲的空间。拉?基亚斯的世界不存在水平线和地平线，太阳在中天不会移动。但是太阳的周期和地上一样，当太阳的光变暗、消失时，然后月亮就会代替太阳支配著世界。这个周期相当于地上北...。Rainer Kohlberger is prepared to go far when it comes to the physical experiences he evokes with his work.
